Commercial News: A jubilee m9eling, reoeptiou to new members and farewell to Evangelist Elam, was given at the Third Church of Christ last night and the affair was a notaole one for that institution. During the evening shoit taiks were made by Rev. L, P. Kaopp, pastor of the Second Church of Christ, and Rev. Elam, who has been holding revival services at the Third Church for the four weeks, After the talks by the ministers an invitation was extended and one confession made, This makes a total of eighty added to the ohuroh since Rev. Elam c me to Danville and there were a number during the preliminary meeting the week before. Besides the addresses there was a social session and the now membors of the church presented Mr. ElanAvith a handsome watch fob of gold. The evangelist departs Saturday forJMarshall,, lnd„ where he will conduct services'. It is a matter of sincere regret among those with whom he has been laboring, thai he leavis Danville. He is regard ed by the church as one of the strongbst men who has come to this city to preach.
