President Roosevelt’s grandfather was the first man to navigate a steamboat on the Ohio nnd Mississippi rivers. Dr. Andrew Sledd, a gradiJlte of both Harvard and Yale, has been chosen president of the University of Florida. Judge Andrew J. Harlan of Savannah, Mo.. surviving member of tho Thirty- | first Congress, was born in Ofyio in 1810.
