Rensselaer Again Victors.
The Rensselaer High School basket ball defeated the H'gh School team of Hammond at that place Friday night by a score of 25 to 8, The game was fast and clean throughout, there being very little rough play and no wrangling The Hammond team did excellent team work but were eomewhat smaller than the home team and were not eo sure on baskets. The game was c.lled at 8.30. Hammond scored the firet point from foul goal, but after a few minu'es ragged play the Rensselaer team got together and played with its usual dogg d d:termination. Hammond p’ayed much better baU the second half. The excellent goal tbrowing/dfN Miss Porter called forth hearty app’use from the audience. ' The Rensselaer girls were given very courteous treatment by the Hammond peop'e both players and auidence. Hammond and the teams roued about Chioag) play in much the same way as that to which Rensselaer has been accustcm d with the exception of field lines The rough p’a)irg common to the boys game and practiced by some of the teams of Central Indiana is guaidrd against.
