Would Find A Ripe Harvest Here.
A female grafter is working up the line from Delphi direction and is likely to strike Rensselaer and find the fields ripe for her harvest at any time. The Delphi Herald says of her work there: A female grafter struck the town yesterday. She oame from Logansport with her pocket full of money. She was young and good to look upou. She had a sofa pillow to raffia off and she 6old ohancas on oa it at 10 cents per. The sofa pillow was probably taken from stock at 75 cents at the outside, but durii g the five hours that she put in here she sc,ld sls worth of chances on it.
The grafter was rot a shy litde country maid. She was wise and very few of the men butpaid tribute to her. Some of the boys took half a d:zen chances and got ’em in a job lot at 50 oents. ’ They a'so got all the smiles that weut along with the deal. Some of the old fellows will deny all this to their wives, but that doesn’t change the faots any. She weut from here toMontioel.o and if that girl strikes our old bachelor friend, Ed. Newton, over there she can sell a million ohances at regular rates.
