RUSH & WARREN GET CONTRACT.
People of Renseelaer and Jasper county generally will be pleaeed to know that the Jasper county cot!age at the State Soldiera’ home Lafayette, is to bi built by a local firm, The film of Rush & Warren made the lowest bid out of six submitted to the oounty commissioners. The following were the bids. Rush & Warren, Rensselaer,s4, 301 60. sst W. H. Roney, Chicago 18,794 80 George B. Cummons, of Remington, 15,250. George P- Herzog, of Laf-iyette $6,760, J. T. Schmidt Brothers Oo 4 of Chicago, $6,550. L. H. Shank & Son 4 of Lafayette $4,664.90. There is a wide range in these bids and between the lowest by Rush & Warren and the highest by Roney the difference amounts to more than the amount of the smaller bids. In other words the Roney bid is more than double the Rush & Warren bid,
