The Supreme Court has reversed tbe case of R. A Perkisoi, County Treasurer et al vs 8- P Thomps »>. This is the s mewhat celebrated case where Mr. Thomp eon brought smt to enjoin the pl cing up n the tax dup'icate of a large amount of property, alleged by ihe tax Lrrit to have been sequestered. Tne case was tried by Ex Supreme Court Judgn Timothy O. The Supreme court now rules that au auditor having placed this alle/ed seqm stered property or the duplicate that act was prima facie evidence that it it ought to he there and that the burden of pr >i f that it had already* been prop rly es-it seed, would be on the property owner.
