Fire Whistle Will Blow.
Another cold weather trouble at Sunday’s fire, was the very insufficient alaim made by t e fire whistle, at iha light p'a-t. Tbe trouble was that the plunger which works up and dawn and varies tbe sound war plugged by frost, from condensed steam, and resulting from the whistle not being blown occasionally. Ti pr-vent the recurrence of this misforune, the alarm is to bs sounded three times a day hereafter, until warmer weather Beginning ni h Wrdn-tdiy, it «ill be blown at 7 o’clock a. m., at noon, and at 6 o’clock p. m. Therefore let not our go id paople get their nerves on edge when thr-y hear the wild schreeches of the fire alarm which will sound at morn, noon and night her>-af<er.
