Obenchain’s Bondsmen Wont Pay.

• Ex-Treasurer Obenohain’s bondsmen over at Logansport, are going to make a desperate effort to get out of paying their obligations. It is their purpose to shift the blame of the whole matter on the shoulders of the county commissioners. It is alleged that the Board knew cf the shortage on Obenohain’s first term and made noeffjrtto force bim to rep'aoe the money. That they were coiz oizant of his assuming the $7 000 shortage of the previous treasurer and that they failed to make an inventory of cash on hand when the bondsmen took charge of the < ffice. A lor.g tedious law suit, is in sight and Cass county will have to shoulder a big debt for that period if not for all time.
