The City Oonnoil held i‘s first meeting of the new year Monday, Put had bnt little business of general interest before it. Granville Mocdy was school trustee to soooeed G. K. Hollingsworth who has moved to Chicago. The water works superintendent was instrnoted 1 to visit all tesidenoes and other plaoes where city water is used, end no’e the number cf cennections in order that any ir regularities may be oorreoted.
