Bussell Breaks Out Again.
Slays The Champion Brood Wolf of Northern Indiana. Squire Charley Bussell has been on the war-path again, and as the result he cima in from Hanging Grove Thursday, oarryiog nnder his arm the < kin < f mott a e’er, trnotive and diabolically ouuning o d she wolf, that has ravaged the oiuntry east of town for yeira and which, as Charley estimates? has killed in her day enough turkeys; O’iickens, pigs and lambs, to pay lit a good qnarter seotion of land, nit to speak of producing a big litter of scarosly less destructive oubs every year. Charley has been laying for her a loag time, and Saturday got on har track, in the fresh snow, and followed it a long time. With characteristic c inning however, she oiroled around in a spiral onrve before she lay di wn, near her i wa traok, and when the Squire cams slipping along oa her trail she snuffed him aud struck out several milts distanoe. He tried it again Taesday, and this time found that she had laid down in the center of a big bare stubble field, where she could see everything for 40 rods in every directions. The Squire can see a nit on a gnat’s ear 100 yards away, and he saw the old wolf’s ear sticking up from afar off. He oiroled aronnd so as to get on the leeward side, and then by crawling about 40 roads got near enough to down the old beast with a big oharge of buokshot. He will get a $lO bounty for killing the wolf, and sell the bide to Harvey Wood, who wants it to make a rug. This makes 11 wolves Bussell has killed in less than a year, fonr old one and seven cubs.
