A Bill To Boost Teachers Salaries

A bill regulating the salaries of the teaohers of the state will be introduced in the legislature at the instance of the State Association of Teachers, It is provided in the bill that the minimum wages for teaobing in the pnbiio sohools shall bi SSO a month for the fir*t year of teaching $55 for the second and S6O for the third year, and all years thereafter when teaching on a twelvemonths license.

If, after having taught for three years, the teacher üb'a’ns a license 24 montha or m' re, he shall re oeive 165 a mouth for the 4th S7O for the fifth, aud $75 for the sixth and all years thereafter when teaching on a twenty four mouth license, If after baviag taught six years, the te cher procures a license for thirty six months or more the teacher shall be paid SBO a month fur the eighth year and S9J a month for the uinth year ai d all years thereafter taught Pro vided, that the license held by said teacher be a license issued by the State Superintendent cf Public Instruction Bchool officers who shall be adjuiged guilty of viola ing this this act, the third section provides, shall be fined any sum not exceed ing SIOO.
