New Year’s Murder at Logansport.

The Kenneth atone quarries ntar Logansport, one of the tougnest places on earth, was the scene of another murder at abont 12 a. m., Saturday night. Florenoe Mitchell, colored, shot Eila] Swisher, white, through the heart. The murder took place in Nick Colondia’s saloon. The Mitohell woman esoaped after the murder. Jealousy was the cause. A worthless white fallow named O. L. Morgan, was with the woman and the Swisher woman kissed him whioh fired the Degress with insane passion and murder. The Mitohell woman made her es cape, bat was apprehended at Chicago by a Penusylvauia Railroad detective and brought back to Loganeport. She confessed to the murder, and iather exulted in the bloody deed. All parties concerned area low down set, and the big sensation made of the affair in the oity papers was not justified’
