A thousand sing the girl of Spring— The girl of fluff and laces; A thousand more their fancies pour To tell the June’s bride’s graces: The summer girl of smile and curl Occasions rhyming scrawl — knd now is due a tribute to The bonny girl of Fall. The Fall girl— The Fall girl—'Hie blue or gray or brown: In tailored-made She is arrayed—She’s coming back to town. We celebrate the graduate Demure in mull or chailie; The tenr.is girl, with skirts awhirl, Evokes a rhyming rally; We softly chant the debutante At her initial ball— Where is the Muse of him who views The bonny girl of Fall. The Fall girl— The small girl— In blue o • gray or brown; A rare del.jht Unto the sight— She’s coming back to town. From head to feet she’s trim and neat; Her cheeks are full or color That makes the giow the maples show Seem dim and cold and duller.
