“There it goes again,” said the trolley conductor as he rang the bell to let off a passenger who had only ridden for a square. “You’d be astonished,” continued the knight of the bell strap, “to know how many people try to beat the trolley for a free ride when they want to make a call a square or two away from home. “They hop on the .car, wait till it has started and then want to know if the car doesn't go to some place which they know it doesn’t come within a mile of.
