WILL ABOLISH GRANO JURY.

Minnesota has voted on the grand jury system and has decided by a vote cf 121000 to abolish the the same. The legislature which meets in January will adopt a constitutional amendment to that effect, the same having been ap* proved by the last legislature and submitted to the people with the above result. For many years there has been disoontent with the inquisitorial system where only one side of the aseis beard, the accused being given no chance to vindicate him* ■■ts-until after the disgrace of ar. rest under an indictment. Often indictments are returned on little evidence, and this sometimes proven wholly false on the trial of iae case. Thus the public as well .3 the victim is put to unnecessary xpense and trouble often through iae malicious spite of one or two persons who would not dare bring t ;eir evidence before* a court.
