DEATH OF WASHINGTON SCOTT.
Rensselaer and Jasper count; f lost another good and long known citizen, and the fast thinning i auks of the old civil war soldiers another of their number, in the death, at early thia Friday morning Deo. 30th, 1904, of Washington Scott He had been hopelessly sick for a long time with Bright’s disease of the kidneys, complicated with heart disease, and for a year bad been practically he'pleas, and most of that time confined to his bed; and at all times a great sufferer. Since last Sunday, when he bad |sometbing of the nature of a paralytic stroke, he had been unconscious, and at 3:15 a. m. be passed away without having rallied from that oondition. His age was 68 years, 8 months and 2 days. The funeral will be held at the residence on south Van Rensselaer street, at one o’clock p. m. Saturday, under the directions of the Grand Army and the Masonic order. Rev. 0. W. Postill, of Remington will conduct the religious services, and interment will be in Weston cemetery.
