December’s Weather Record
The local U, S. Weather Bureau record, shows that it was an unusually fine month for December. There were practically no days when out-door work or travel could not be comfortably done. The two worst days to be ' out in were the 26tb, when it rain- 1 ed all day, and the 27tb, when there was a raging southwest wind and a temperature that fell 40 degrees in 5 hours. The warmest weather was 57 degrees on the 23rd and 49 on the 31st. The coldest 2 degrees on the 15th and 4 on the 16th. The warmest average was 50| degrees on the 23rd and the coldest average, 10 degrees on the 28th. The total precipstion was 2.39 inches. The wettest day was the 26th, with 1.65 inches and a heavy thunder storm. There was precipitation in measurable quanity on only five different days, and of snow there was only 2| finches, and none that lasted many days. Sunshine wrs liberally dealt out there being 13 clear and 8 partly clear days The other 10 were recorded as oloudy.
