Material For Prison Feasts.
At the northern prison the 860 prisoners had for a Christmas spread: Oysters, 65 gallons; crack* ers, four barrels; mashed potatoes, 12 bushels; roast beef 540 pounds; gravy, pickle**, one barrel; celery, bread, 300 leaves; bntter 60 pounds; coffee, 125 gallons; milk, 60 gallons; pies, 225; ginger and sugar cakes 5,0u0; apples, ten barrels. Thirty-two cooks add waiters were required to prepare and serve the dinner. Tbeprisopers were at 34 tables.
