Taxes For Next Year.

Ooanty Treasurer Nichols has prepared his table of tax levies for the year 1904, {ayable next year, and which table is published in this issue. The various items of state tax are fixed by the Legislature, and are the same in all respects as last year. The county tax fixed now by the County Oounoil, is 28J cents on th„ SIOO. cr 8 cents less than last year. The various township taxes, are fixed by th 3 township advisory boards, on reoommendation of the township trustees, The total of all property taxes is somewhat less in all townships and towns, this year than last year except Remington, whioh .shows a slight increase. The following are the totals for this and last year for comparison, on eaoh SIOO assessed valuation.

Hanging Grove, $1 55, last year, $1.70, Gilliam, $1 73, last year $1,95 Walker, $1.90, last year $1,95 Barkley $2 00, last yearjs2ls. Rensselaer $2 83, last year $2 84. Marion $1,28, last year $1.62. Jordan $1,75, last year SI.BO Newton, $1 52, last year $1 77 Keener. $2.58, last year $2 66. Kankakee $1.52 last year $l6O. Wheatfield, $1 64, last year $1.83 Wheatfield town, $1 92, last year $2 03. Carpenter $1 65. last year $1,67. Remington $1.70, last year $1.68 Milroy $1.93, last year $2 07. Union $1.67, last year $2.03. Union’s red notion is greatest, 36 cents. Rensselaer’s is least only one oe.it. Remington’s increase is two cents. All poll taxeß are the same as last year.
