A BADLY BROKEN LEG.

Uuole George Andrus, the well known carpenter, and the greatest barn builder in northwest Indiana is now suffering at his home about two miles northwest of town, from the effects of a very severe accident he met with, Wednesday evening about five o’olook. He and his son were hauling in Some straw from a remote part of bis farm, and as he was driving through a gate the load slipped off ♦be wagon, and in the fall Mr, Andrus was badly injured. The left thigh bone was broken entirely off, pretty well np towards its tipper end, and the same bone was also fraotnred near the knee. » Rensselaer physicians gave the neoessary snrgioal attention and the old gentleman now seems to be resting as easily as oonld be expected. The iDjuries are suoh however as will keep him in bed several months, at best and also leave him more or less permanently onppled. His age also will tend to retard his recovery, be having paesed his 70th birthday.
