DEATH OF A FORMER RESIDENT.
Robert Wiley Irwin, an old and much respected former resid nt of Jasper oounty, died last Friday at his home one mile west of Klondike, in Tippecanoe Oounty. Before tue oivii war he lived about two miles north of R-mingtoa. He enlisted in Company K of tbe 48th Indiana regiment, the Jasper oounty, company and served his term of enlistment, with credit. After tbe war he continued to live in this county, some tight miles southeast of town, and about 12 years ago moved to Tippecanoe oounty He leaves a widow two daughters and fonr sons Mr. Erwin was much older than the generality cf civil war soldiers having been born in Deo. 1820, thus being 42 or 43 when he en. listed, and 84 when he died. His funeral was held Snnday at the Hebron, Tippecanoe conaty Baptist ohnroh, and interment made in a cemetery there.
