NARROWLY ESCAPED DEATH.
Edward Malotte and Theodore Steadman, the latter the blind mnaioian, who recently resided in this oity, but now livea in Btar Oity, bad a wonderful escape witb tbeir livea last Thursday evening. They had driven from Star Oity to Delphi in a light sample wagon and left Delphi early in the e?ening and started back. When they reached the crossing of the Wabash railroad on ti.e old tank road east of the oity, they collided with a freight train running at a high rate of apefd and the wagon was totally demolished. The men were tossed in the air and thrown several rods, but neither was snffi oiently injured to prevent th> m resuming tbeir journey as soon as they oould procure aaother oonveyanes.
