THE CIRCUIT COURT.
The November term of the’ cir cult court was ended Satuiday. The case of Wm H. Randle, as adminieirator of the estate of Nancy JineShaw, was one' of the few jury trials of the Lrm. Some years ngo, Mrs Shaw handed to her nephew, R. A. Perkism, aj certificate of deposit fur $1055/»j> The oerlifiaate was April stu. and Aunt Jane diedf on May 7-h following. Mr. Parkinson retained the money stated that his aunt given it to nim, on condition that he would buy the adjoining house, aud live near her and look after her until her'" death. The administrator claimed it was only a loan, andsued t> reoover the amount. The jury found that it was a gift and Mr. Parkison isentitled to retain the money. E A. Sellers, presided at the trial as a speoial judge.
About the lafet work of the term was deciding the mixed up Me Donald vs Gwinn case, of McCoysburg, in which P. A Gwinn sued his partner J M McDonald for an accounting. Judge H-n'ey decided that McDonald should pay the debts of the firm, that Gwin should have the notes and book accounts, and that eaoh man should pay his own witnesses, and half the court costs.
Auother granted Friday afternoon. It was to Mrs. Bernice M Clark from Guv D. Clark. The plaintiff lives in Wheatfield Tp and is a daughter of that prominent and wealthy citizen, Horace Marble. Tne defendant was formerly a deputy auditor and deputy clerk at Crown Point, and a man of good standing. However he took to drmkmg, gambling, passing ci ecks, and went to the bad entirely. Sue ■was granted the divorce smd the custody of ber 13 year old son.
