Saturday night he seemed a *itt!e better than usual, aid bv Ids physicians advice, he oconpied hieb?d a'oae while Mrs, Porter slept orr a couch at the door of the adjoining ro m He seemed to rest better than be had fur some time, So3n after so’clock he asked her to obang& bis pcsition that he miciht rest a litt’e batter. Some 10 or 15 minutes ’ater sbe heard him rasping for breath, and went to him* and at once s-tw that he was dying. She called her son Boyd, from upstairs, aud ber daughter, Mrs. Bert Brenner by telephone, bnt by the time Botd could reach his side he was taking his last breath; death evidently resulting from strangulation. He never sp ke after his wife discovered him gasping. The exaot cause and manner of his death however, can not he deternyned without an antop«y. The that there might have been a recurrence of the paralysis, and af* fee ting the muscles of deglnt ti n and so causing the strangulation* The funeral will be held Wi-dnes* day, Deo 14 at two o'clock pm.
