CONCEDES RENSSELAER THE CHAMPIONSHIP.
Hammond TribuneThe Rensselaer Republican makes ol&im for the high sohool fiotball team cf that oity for the obampionship of Indiana. Their claims seem quite justifiable and they should at least be put on a par with the high school of the oflp tal oity, In detailing the claims the paper however makes one grievout error. It stated that Goshen which had a strong claim for the title at one vime, Was defeated by Crown Point whioh in turn was downed by Rensselaer. The Lake ojunty team never played Goshen and Brother Marshall must mean the Lifayctte team. Crown Point Bhoull be ranked a close second tn Rensselaer. The game at the latter oity while giving viotory to Rensselaer was certainly as evenly matched as any oontest oould be and Rensselaer scored purely on a fluke. Soores are what oouut though and Crown Poiot may well be plaoed in the second place.
