Some Good Public Sales.
David Horsewood had a pretty large public sale at bis plioe 5 miles west of town Tuesday. The entire sale aggregated about $1,600. Mr. Horse wood raises good horses and the prices lis horses soM for shows the wisdom of so doing Thus one team of two year old mares sold for $250, and another pair of three year old mares sold for $270 A team of 11 year old geldings sold for $254. Mr. Boreewocd, though he has always been a renter is so good a farmer that he in now able to buy a good farm of bis own; and has bought one in LaG range county. He will move there in a short time. Wm Gnffidd, over near Sharon also bad a big sals Tuesday. His was more especially a stock sale, and it aggregated $1;800. The prices are reported to have been very satisfactory. On Monday J. T. Moore, noMh of Pleasant Ridge, oleared out some of his surplus live-stock at a publio sale Tue prioes were very good, and the sale aggregated SSOO.
