Appropropriated To Hire Lawyer* te Help Prosecute The McCoy Cases. The Jasper county County Oounoil met in special session Wednesday afternoon, mainly to consider a petition for a special appropriation to hire attorneys te help the states attorneys proeeoate the oases against Alfred and Thomas J. MoOoy. Some 12 of which oases are now pending in White oounty and 11 in Lake oonnty, on ohange of venae front this county. A petition signed by 94 depositors in the failed MoOoy bank, asking foreuoh an appropriation, was filed with the auditor, and by him presented to Judge Hanley who aooordingly ordered the auditor to call the Counoil together, to oonsider the petition. At the meeting all of the oouncilmen were preseut exoept J. F. Pettit, of Walker tp. These present were Frank Baboook, of Carpenter, J. C. Martindale, of Newton, J. W. Williams, of Rensselaer, Walter V. Porter of Jordan, R 8. Drake, of Hanging Grove and John Haan, of Keener.
