To Stop Killing Quails,

There is a growing sentiment iD this state againet the killing of of quail at any time ot the year, and it is not unlikely a law will be introduced prohibiting a qnail hunting for at least a limited number of years. The quails are now almost extinct, in some counties there being only a few floofc.B left, and now that the hunters have been turned loose for the open season on the remaining speoimens. it is believed that the extermination wiH be made complete. The farms rs . themselves are beginning to believe that ih9 killing of the bird is playing havoo with their crops, and whether or not the ground is well taken, agriculturists are poiotiog out that, the failure of some orops especially that of wheat in tbit oonnty and throughout the stat-, has kept pioe with the extermination of the game birds.
