KANKAKEE TOWNSHIP POLITICS.

F azier published in the "New, Review” and the "Jasper County D mocrat.” Mr. Frazi r mak* s a second affidavit which is given in full balow. and states the c nd tiona tutdar which the affidavit published in the News Review and the Democrat was made, and al*o states the facts in detail in regard to the matter referred t*. M-. Frazier’s affidavit, vrr batim, is as so lows: "State of Indiana [ County of Jasper \ eo tieorge W Frazier bring first duly sw. rn deposes and says that he is a vo er and citizen o. Kankakee township, Jasper Connty, Indiana; that in the Sptingof 19U4 he and his fami y were sick for some time; that one Fiank W. Fisher c rcu uted a subscription paper for the parpose of obtaiaing relief for this affiant and hia fami y; that some time in the Tore part of April, 1904. said subscription psprr wa-* started r>y said Fisher and as sffiaut is iuformed a.\d believes about $35 was raised by said Fisher, that about the last day of May, 1904, sa d Fisher gave affiant the earn ot sls and told affiant that there was more mone/ which he w<. old pay affiant; that on the next ev< nirg said Fisher gave affiant sls more and told affiant that he would give him the subscription paper wh>n affiant would call for it; that about Jane 20th, 1904, affiant told said Fisher that he. affiant, thought that he should have said subscription paper and said Fisher toid affiant that he would give affiant said paper on th« 25th day of June, 1904, bat that said Fisher did not give affiant said pap r on Jane 25, *O4, bat that said Fisher save affiant said paper on the 26th day of Jane, 1904, and at the same time said Fisher gave affiant said paper on 26th day of June, 1904. and at the same time said Fisher gave affiant $5 in money, and on the 4th day of July, 1904, said Fisher gave affiant 75 cents in money. Affiant further says that on the 15th or 16 h dsy cf October 1904 Edward P. Houan and Thomas Maloney called upon this affiant and asked him to make an affidavit matter hereia referred to and that affiant told said parties the facta as he remembered them and as herein stated and that he subscribed and swore to an affidavit prepared by said Honan and did not at the time understand the meading of the laDguare in said affidavit as to said Fisfier turatDg over said money and said subscription paper without any solicitation on the part cf this affi nt; affiant farther s atea that he subscribed and swore to eaid affidavit wit'i tbe understanding and promise that the same was not to be published; that as affiant is informed and believes said affidavit was published in the "News Review” and the” Jasper County Democrat, and that the same is being used for political purposes in the election of Township Trustee in Kankakee Township, Jaspsr Connty, Indiana and that the matters herein stated are the facts relating to said matters, and he makes this affidavit that the voters of said Township may know the facts pertaining to the same.
