Haywood <fc Bay wood, of this city, attornejs for the M cCoys, assert that they know who wrecked the McCoy home at Rensselaer a week ago last night, and 'hey say that the authorities of Jasper County are equally positive as to the identity of the guilty person, and that at the p oper time he will be arrested They also assert that the bloodhcutds plac-d on the trail soon after the explosion, followed the scent to the hiding place of the culprit, and since then testimony has developed, clearing away ad d.ubt. The attorneys are preparing f r the forthcoming trial of the McCoys. end they have a mass of testimony that will com ume several weeks in its introduction. The defense is that the McCoys always felt that they were sjlvent, and that the failure of bank was due to circumstances beyond their control. It ii a’so pleaded that if the McCoys had been p rmitied to dispose of their property they would have been able to sat isfy all claims Tom McCoy has visit.d Rensselaer several times since the explosion, and he met with a more ccrdial reception t’ an was before accorded him.
