AN OLD RESIDENT GONE.

John Stoner better known as ‘‘Uncle John,” died Monday even* ing. He was an old resident of this county, having resided at Lake Village for upwards of 40 years. Of recent years he has been making his home with his daughter, Mrs. Ella Bunch in Jasper County near DeMotte, and we understand this is where bis death 0,cured- His age was 84 years and for some time had been troubled with appoplexy this is probably what caused tfia death. He had been a widower for some tin e his wife having died acme years ago He leaves three grown children Henry M. Stoner, the Republican nominee for sheriff, Mrs. Ella Bunch of Jasper County and Mrs Medoliff of south of Momence. The funeral was held Wedneiay at one P. M. at Lake Village where interment was made.—Morocco Courier.
