"REMEMBER THE MAINE."
J l letter mailed at Terre Haute, Ooi , 21, add obviously intended for the editor of this paper reached her s last Saturday morning. It was addressed to R. W. Marshall, thel attorney, but the words (Republican Office) on the enveloperand the contents of the letter show it was intended for The Republican editor. The following is the letter: Mr. R. W. Marshall. Kindly tell Mr. Thomas McCoy (through the paper) that if the blodd-hounds wants to catch us theji will have to hurry. Also that Mr. McCoy please remember that we havent forgot him either, there is no one so slick but what there are others, distance outs no figure the court had better do its auty. Remember the Maine. The letter is evidently written in a disguised hand, the writer trying to write worse than he naturally writae, but he seems to forget the attempt pretty often, and most of the writing is decidedly good, and shows the wr.ter to ibe better educated than he wants jto appear. Presumably the letter 1 is the production of a smart Aleck but possibly the real dynamiter wrote it.
