KILLED BY THE CARS
Harvey Daywift of Parr Cot in Pieces Sunday Night.
The north bound milk train this Monday morning discovered tbe mutillated body of a man scattered for about' 100 yards along the Monon traok, abont s mile and a half south of Fair Oaks On arrival at Fair Oaks the trainmen sent the seotion men down after the body, when it was found to be Harvey Daywitt, who lives with his father, John Daywitt at Parr. He bad been at Fair Oaks Sunday, visiting hia brother, Barney Daywitt, aufl left there at midnight to wiilk* Home to Parr. He was alone and though he had been drinking was not thought to be very drunk. What train killed him is not yet known, but it might have been the Qhieago exoursion train whioh passed Fair Oaks going sooth not king after Daywitt started, or a freight train that went south about tbe njMpe time. Daywitt wss out entirely in two about tbe region of the small of the bsok, the upper part of the body laying outfcf d* of tbe tank, and the lower part between iha rails. Tbe seV&ai other trains of the night and early morning passed over the body without discovering it. Portions ofthe body were scattered along the traok for 100 yards. Daywitt was about 30 yean old and unmarried. As stated abort he lived with hia father at Fair Daks. Coroner Wright was notified and went up to Fair Oaks, Where the body was taken on tha 9:55 a. m. train.
