ABOUT RURAL ROUTES.

Porter county is to have complete rural route service after Nov. 15tb, when*six new routes will be established, and making 17 in the oounty in all. When route 4 from Rensselaer gets in action after Nov. Ist, Jasper oounty will have 11 rural routes, namely foui from Rensselaer, four from Remington, and one enoh from MoCoysburg, Fair Oaks, and Wheatfleld. In addition to this a route from Medaiyvil'e is almost wholly in this county, rnd another eaoh from Franoesviile and Goodland largely so. Complete rural route service for Jasper oounty is probably some dist anoe yet in the future, owing to the sparsenes3 of the population in some regions, on account of land being held in A arge traots. However it would probably be a comparatively easy matter to get several more routes established making pretty nearly a oomplete service. There is room for a new routs from Rensselaer in northeast Marion and south Barkley, and probably another oould be seoured southwest of town, though some large farms out that way interfere to some extent. South from MoOoyaburg there is room for a good route, whioh has already been partly worked np. No'doubt also, several new routes could be had for the asking in the northern townships, from DeMotte, Wheatfiold, Tefft, Eniman, Kersey, Fair Oaks eto.
