A COMPANION OF NORTHRUP SUSPECTED.

Lake authorites charge the mtuda of A. M. Northrop the Benton Harb r, Mich,, man, found murdered near Lake Station, on Edward Donnabn, also of Bentoh Harbor, and an itinerant veterinary surgeon. As before stated Northrap’s bnllet-riddled body was found SnLday morning. He and Dornaha left Benton Harbor a week ago Tuesday to drive to Miller’s Station, lod, to sell Nortbrup’s horse. The same night both men rt acted Tolieston and registered at Conrad’s hotel. Wednesday morning they left in tbe direction of the spot where Northrup’s bedy was found. Wednesday night Donnaha appeared at Hobart with tbe horse and rig, He sold a gold watoh there, which has since been identified as Northrup’s. To ally her rpprehension he then wired Nortbrup’s wife, using Northrup’s signature, hat the horse bad been sold and that Northrop would not be home next Sunday, Donaha left Hammond Sunday, going towards Chicago, and the police are searohiDg for him. He is 38 years old, weig v e about 180 pounds, 5 feet, 8 ini s tall and has served time in Michigan City for horsestealing.
