RENSSELAER 6 BROOK 0.
Our High School football team had a good game with the Brook town team, last Saturday, afternoon, at Brcok, Both teams play ed well and were very evenly matched, and for a long time it seemed like neither team could make a score. However, along about the middle of the last half, one of the Brook players dropped the ball, just when everybody was least expecting such a windfall, or perhaps bag-of-wind-fall, would be more literally correct, and Perry Gwin, who was playing fright and left Johnny-on-the- spot for Rensselaer, dropped upon it like the proverbial turkey on a June bug, and made a run of 80 yards, and scored the only touch-down of the game, The Brook players were older and heavier than our boys, while the latter made it up by being swifter and better In practice. The next game will be here next S.turday, with a Central Lafayette high school team. The following was the lineup of the Rensselaer team. George Michaels, center Ray Hopkins, left guard Ray Berry, right guard Gail Michaels, left tackle Guy Daniels, right tackle. John Ellis, right end Rue Paroelle, left end Wood Spitler, quarter back Perry Gwin, right half back Homer Dobbins, left half back Earl Barkley, full back Vere Yeoman, Gale McFarland and John Morgan, were substitutes but were not called into the game. It was a very pleasant, gentlemanly game, and with no accidents of any kind
