Fifteenth Cold Month

According to the State weather bureau report September just past was the fifteenth consecutive month that the temperature was below normal. The mean ,was 65.4 against 66.2 one year ago and a normal of 66.6 The maximum for the month was 80 recorded on the 22nd. The range of temperature was 48 ■ degrees, the greatest in 24 hours 39 degrees. The warmest September oocured in 1891, when the mean tem- • perature was 70.4 and the coolest * was in 1896 with a mean of 61.5.
