DEATH OF JOHN E BURK.

John E. Burk, who was born raised and married io the vicinity of Rensselaer, died Sept. 27th, at his late home in Kioiwa Co Kansas. He was the oldest son of George W. Burk, a former well known citizen, ard Amanda Burk his wife, and was born on the old Burk homestead, four miles north of Rensselaer. He was born Sept. 7th. 1863, and bis age at death was 41 years and 20 days. He was married in this county on Feb. 4th, 1886, to Miss Clara Stackhouse, and who with four children, three girls and one boy survive him. He moved to Kansas 13 years ago, to the vicinity of Greensburg, and was _,ne of Kiowa county’s most respected citizens. The cause of his death was Bright’s disease after several years of intense suffering. His funeral was held oo Sept. 18th, by Rev, Gorman, of the United Brethren church, of Greensburg of which he was a member He also had been a member of the A. O. U W. order for 10 years.
