AUTUMN IS NOW HERE.
Autumn officially began this year at 5:48 a, m. this Friday Sept. 23, according to Lieutenant W. J. Wilson, in charge of the branch United States hydrographic office in the Masonic Temple at Chicago. At exactly that second, central time, the sun crossed the equator in its annual passage southward, which makes the autumnal equinox. All the geographies fix the date of the autumnal equinox as about Sept, 21, but as a matter of fact the exact time varies from Sept. 20 to Sept, 23,
