The fire alarm sounded about about 12:30 Friday night, the occasion being the burning of James Jordan's barn, in the east part of town. The fire was so well started when discovered that it was praotioally all down by the time the fire company arrived, so that nothing oould be done to save the buildiugTwo buggies were saved, but the mow full of hay was burned, ala some harness, and a good stov stored in bam was ruined. The barn was a-single story, and was worth about $250. The loss was about covered by S3CO insurance. The origin of the fire is not known but it must have been started by some one, intentionally or accidentally.
