ARRESTED FOR ARSON.

One John' Mohler was indicted ~ • v ~7 by the present grand jury on the charge of arson, and was arrested Thursday afternoon, arraigned in court, plead not guilty, and re mauded to jail with bail fixed at SI,OOO. with his* trial set for this Tuesday, Sept. 20th. It seems that Manday night a house in Barkley tp., belonging to Harry Gifford was burned, The house is one that formerly was oooupied by Mohler, but he was evicted by Mr. Gifford last Spring, since whioh time th 9 Fouse has been empty. The hou3e was worth about S7OO. The supposed motive was revenge for the eviotion. Mr, Mohler was here when are rested, himself, and wife having oome in answer to summons to appear as witnesses before the grand jury. Mohler is the man who, a few mouths ago, oaused James Wiseman to be arrested-charged with hugging Mohler’s wife, and it is supposed he was before the grand jury iu reference to this alleged episode.
