CHAPMAN FOR TRUSTEE.
Practically The Unanimous Choice of Jasper County Creditors In All Three Cases. After a very exoiting and strenuous previous oanvass the eleotion of a trustee in tbe bankruptcy oase of A. MoCoy & Company, was held Tuesday afternoon, requiring all the afternoon, as tbe name and amount of claim of eaoh voter was registered. The candidates were James H. Chapman and E. P. Honan both of Reneselaer. Tbe latter being considered as the candidate of tbe Lafayette creditors, who are the parties who foroed the matters into bankruptoy. The vote had not been fnUy summed np when we went to press bnt practioally all the Rensselaer and Jasper coanty creditors voted for M-. Chapman while the Lafayette, and outside claimants generally were praotioally solid for Mr. Honan. From 85 to 95 per oent. of the money amount of the olaims represented, voted for Chapman, and folly 80 per oent. of the names were ako in hia favor. A great orowd was present at this first eleotion. The eleotioDs of trustee in the other two oases, namely Alfred McCoy and Thomas J. MoCoy, individually was held on Wednesday, forenoon and afternoon. Mr. Chapman was eleoted in both, by abont the same corresponding majorities as in the first oase. These last two elections were oon- i duoted almost exclusively by at- 1 torneys, representing olaims of, olients.
