The statt-ment tbatW. 8. Parka had sold his draying buaiuees before be left was confirmed at noon today, when Abel Grant, of 3t>rkley tp., oatne in and took possession of the bes ness and outfit. It seems that tbe deal was made last May. and Mr. Grant gave his note for SI,OOO payable to Mrs, Paiks, and whioh note has sinoe been kept in a tin b-x in one of the banks. The confirmation of this reported sale tends strongly to coo firm the general belief that Mr. Parks has gone with no intention of returning.
