DOC WILL HAVE TO WAIT.

Evidently the City Oounoil got a whole lot too previous when they eleoted a new oity health officer, Monday night, and whioh they did without consulting the oity attorney as to the la win the oase. The Indiana health law now in force, and as amended the last time in 1899, plaialy sa/s that the oity and county health officers shall take office on Ist of January next following their eleotion, and that their term shall be four years. Now as Dr. Kresler was not eleoted until May Ist, 1902, and his term began Jan. 1, 1903, it is evident that his tern extends to Jan. Ist, 1907, or over two years yet.
