The Field Meet at Remington Monday.
At the Atbletio contest at: Remington Monday, »b« Monti-; oello team won first place by securing the greatest number of poiats. Remington, seoond and Rensselaer thi d The Rensselaar team would have had a much better show and probably would have won first, had tbe rales governing the oortest been adhered to. especially the rule regulating tbe age limit, and the rule regulating tbe couaMos, to be represented, tbe age limit was to be under 21, and we got it straight from “inside,” informetion that at least two of tbe members of tbe Monticello team have voted.
Tbe counties to bs represented according to rnles, were Jasper, Newton, White and Benton, had this rale been observed, Remington could not have ran in the Atkins baud boys all, all around athletics f>otn Englewood, and who by the way won most of Remington’s points to ■ them. Considering what our boys had to go up against, we think they did very well indeed- Earl Barkley brought home one gold and one silver medal, winning first in the pole vault, and seoond in ihe 100 yard dash. Omer Dobbins oaptored a silver medal, winning eeoond in tbe Di-cus throw.
