An Abundance of Rain.
Sunday was a very hot day, wjth a temperature of 87 degrees, and with a high southwest wind. A natural result of this combination was a big thunder storm last night with a very large rainfall. The rain poured down for several hours, and the result was a rainfall of 1:22 inohes, or nearly 1£ inohes. This, added to the nearly an inoh of rain we had last Friday, will be an abundance for all needs, for a long time to come. Corn and cucumbers will not need any more at all, nor will there be any mere needed for pastures, plowing and seeding for several weeks
