Busy Times in The War.
Some of (the (greatest fights of the war have'been going on during the past few days. The entire Russian fleet made a dash out of Port Arthur and was met by a somewhat smaller foroe of Jape and a tremendous battle took place The Russians were scattered in every direction,] some of their smaller vessels captured and some of their big badly used up that they have gone (into neutral ports and will probably be disarmed until the war is over. Others want back to Port Arthur, where they must evidently soon be captured or destroyed to prevent capture. Following this battle, the Russians Valadivostock fleet of cruisers met a similar fleet of Jap ships, and also met * complete defeat. The Rurik, one of the best Russ beats was snnk, and the others fled, badly damaged. These two great viotoriesfhive undoubtedly given Japan complete control of of the sea in that region. On land the Japs have also been winning right along, and at Port Arthur they have made snoh great advances that it seems £lmost oertain that the place must fall in a few days.
