Scott Judges Supreme Court — Frank E. Gavin George E. Downey Indianapolis correspondence: At the Becond session of the Democratic State convention held bore the above ticket was nominated. Alonzo Greene Smith, of Indianapolis, who presided at the first session, May 12, continued as permanent chairman, gnd the same delegates were present The platform framed by the resolutions committee was adopted unanimously. It heartily approved and indorsed “the wise and conservative declaration of principles by the Democratic national convention at St Louis and the sturdy and able statesmen, Alton B. Parker and Henry G. Davis.” “We commend both principles and men,” it continued, “to the consideration and approval of the intelligent and patriotic voters of Indiana, and as the chosen representatives of the Democrats of the State give our pledge that the Democrats of no other State shall surpass us in their loyalty, constant and hearty support in the present campaign.” The rest of the platform dealt with State issues, recommending the repeal of the metropolitan police law, and pledging the enactment of labor legislation that will recognize the Just rights of both employer and employe. National Chairman Taggart was heartily indorsed.
