The Prohibition Convention

The Prohibitionists held their mass oounty convention last Saturday afte noon, at the court house, with an attendance of about 25. The following oounty ticket was nominated. Reoorder, Benj. F Knapp, of Walker Tp. Treasurer, Wm 8. Day, of Rensselaer. Sheriff, Mead Rayburn, of Gillam. Assessor, Albert E. Brand, .of Rensselaer. Surveyor, E M. Banes, of Rena selaer. Coroner, Webb Reeve, of Rensselaer. Commissioner, Ist Distriot, Geo. W. Faris, of Gillam. Commissioner, 2nd Distriot, James Yeoman, of Newton Tp. All the nominations were made by aoolamation exoept Mr. Faria for commissioner between whom and J. Y 7. Hudson also of Gillam, there were several ballots, they being tied for a time. The commissioner for the 3rd District is to be supplied by the oommittee.
