A Saving’s Bank In Every House.
J H. Wright of Chicago, with several assistants is making a canvass of this vicinity presenting every oitizen with a little steel saving bank wherein he can make deposits at home. T lis work is be ing done under direction of tbe State Bank of Rensselaer, and promises to become exceedingly popular with our home folks. The scheme is this: You have yonr bank at home and can deposit every spare penny in it, once a month, or at any lime that may suit you best, the little bank is oarried to the State Bank, where it is opened for you and the oashier credits tbe oontents ou your bank bouk; the oashier keeps the key and/ when your money goes into the little steel box you have a bankjaccount. sr They are a great invention to induce people to save money and the Reoord Herald says the increase in bank deposits in Chicago is $22,000,000 in a year, owing to their use.
